Payment

Please see my ToS, more particularly the Payment Information section for more detailed information.

I require full payment up front in most situations, but if you’re uncomfortable doing so there is another, less preferred option: As long as you’re paying in USD, you can pay a 50% non-refundable down payment, and the rest upon completion.

Payment Plans - for projects that cost more than $100 I am willing to work out a payment plan with you.  You’ll first have to pay a non-refundable down payment equivalent to 30% of the full price in order for me to begin to work on your commission.  You will be expected to pay in installments of which the amount (min of 10% of the total cost) and frequency (either weekly or biweekly) will be discussed on a case by case basis.  Should you ever fail to make your payments, you will receive a partial refund equal to what you’ve paid thus far (minus the non-refundable down payment) and you will lose all rights to the piece.

Refunds and Repairs - You are entitled to a full refund if the commission/product breaks and/or is severely damaged due to a craftsmanship error on my part, though I am always more than happy to make any and all attempts to fix/replace products as an alternative to a refund.

Prices

Bust // Headshot +$6

The piece ends somewhere between the chin and shoulders, more often than not at the collarbone.

Waist-Up +$8

The piece ends at the waistline.  Transitions for such pieces are best when the character has a tail long enough to curl around the break, or is wearing clothes (such as a shirt or belt) that end along the break.

Knee/Thigh-Up +$10

The piece ends somewhere between the mid-thigh and the bend of the knee.  Transitions for such pieces are best when the character has a tail long enough to curl around the break, or is wearing clothes (such as a skirt or garters) that end along the break.

Full Body +$15

Includes all features of the character from head to toe.

Chibi +$5

Changes the artstyle to chibi.  Automatically comes with Full body, but can be cut to just a head upon request.

Character Types

I can draw anything from human to feral and anything in between, though I specialize in kemonomimi, and I do my best work when I’m working between the Humanoid and Anthropomorphic (anthro) parts of the scale.  None of these effect the cost of the commission, but are important for me to know before I begin drawing so that I don’t draw your character incorrectly.  All types of characters can be done in a chibi style.

For those who need further clarification on the terminology I’m using here… Human is self-explanatory, but for me personally also includes things like elves, faeries, and other human-based creatures that look almost completely human (a.k.a. humanoid).  Kemonomimi are human-like characters who have animal ears, possibly a tail as well, but little to nothing more about them isn’t human.  At most feral, Kemonomimi will have animal ears, feet, a tail, and the color of their skin may be different as well.  Anthro are mostly animal characters with human characteristics, so little to nothing about them is human save for maybe their bipedal body structure, perhaps thumbs, etc.  Feral is completely animal in appearance with minimal human features if any at all.

EXAMPLES: Ron Weasley from the Harry Potter series or Tyrion from the Game of Thrones/Song of Ice and Fire series would be human characters.  Legolas from the Lord of the Rings or Fenris from the Dragon Age series would be humanoid characters.  Sesshomaru from the anime InuYasha or Ritsuka from the anime Loveless would both be kemonomimi characters.  Goliath from the animated series Gargoyles or Ariel from the Little Mermaid would also be kemonomimi characters on the further end of the scale.  Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck from Looney Tunes would both be anthro characters.  Simba from the Lion King, Batty from Fern Gully, Aslan from The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, and Meeko from Pocahontas would all be a feral characters.

Color Options

The materials I have at my disposal are wooden graphite and mechanical pencils, Faber-Castel Polychromos colored pencils, the Faber-Castel 8 piece manga set of artist pens, Staedtler Pigment Liners, and a variety of sharpies.  I particularly enjoy and would like to think I do well when using mixed mediums.

Below is a basic list of exactly what each option entails, and if you ever come back and want to pay for an extra, additional color on top of what you already got previously, I offer suggestions and tell you when I cannot offer anything additional (i.e. what I consider a completed piece).

Please check out my online galleries (DeviantART, FurAffinity, and Weasyl) for examples, but feel free to request explicit examples for a type of coloring you may be interested in upon serious inquiry for a commission/trade.

Basic Sketch

(Prices correlate with base prices)

Basic Sketch is a simple, plain sketch that correlates with the base prices for a piece. I can always come back and complete these pieces at a later time in any way you’d like if you come back to me later to pay the additional fee.

Color Splash Options

Shaded/Detailed Sketch +$2

These are really just a step up from a basic sketch, turning your simple and plain sketch into something a lot less boring. It features lots of shading, attention to detail, and is considered a complete piece. The only type of color I suggest including if you’d ever like me to return to your piece is a color splash, half-ink, or both, but I can add any kind of color to a detailed sketch that you would like. Note that requesting inking or full color will result in a loss of the vast majority of the piece’s previously shaded detail in exchange for replacement details via inking and/or color.

Half-Inked +$3

A combination of graphite and ink, this piece combines the inked piece with a detailed sketch to give you a completed, half-inked sketch. Giving an additional color splash is the recommendation if you’d ever like me to come back to this piece. If you request full color or inking, you will lose a lot of the graphite shaded details in exchange for full ink and/or color.

Fully Inked +$5 or more

I make a basic sketch, ink it, and erase any further graphite detail for a cleaner, complete look. My style includes thick, outlining border to your character(s) and comes automatically unless you request otherwise. If you’d ever like me to come back and color your piece or add a color splash, I can happily do so for you.

Sketchy Color +$10 or more

Doing sketchy color is exactly what it sounds like: I just skip a step and color your sketch. There may be light graphite shading, but overall the detail in your piece will come through its color. This is considered a complete piece and cannot be added to in any way.

Full Color +$15 or more

I start with a basic sketch, ink it, then add full color. There is little to no graphite shading/detail, as the piece is primarily dominated with colored or inked shading and detail. This is considered a completed piece and cannot be added to in any way.

Color Splash is my personal favorite type of coloring to do. A color splash is 1-3 “splashes” of color to make certain details pop on a basic sketch, detailed sketch (recommended), half-inked detailed sketch, or fully inked picture. This could be a lot of color or only a dab, and is regularly done in marker, but can also be done in colored pencil if you’d prefer.  This is considered a completed piece, and cannot be added to in any way.

Subtle +$1

Very minimal color, consisting of outlines, eyes, or very small and other easily overlooked details of the image in order to make the otherwise unnoticeable subtly more prominent, but not overpowering.

Pop +$2

Roughly medium amount of color added, coloring only a few details of a picture to make those parts of the picture focal, key points that draw the eyes.

Splash +$3

Essentially half-coloring the picture, this is a generous amount of color applied to certain key details to an image.

Splatter +$4

Just as the name implies, I cover your character in a layer of blood, paint, water, etc. with a splattered on effect that spans across the entire image unless otherwise requested.  I recommend only picking a single color for this option.

Selective +$8

I color the entire image, but I only use your chosen 1-3 color(s) to do so.  Depending on your preference, shades of your chosen color(s) can be an exception, or I can color entirely in your specifically chosen color(s).  I recommend picking your maximum 3 colors for this option.

+ Colored Pencil +$2 - $4

By default I use marker when I do color splashes, but to give your piece a bit more texture, you can add colored pencil to be used alongside marker if you’d like.  This option is not available with Subtle, and does not give you more color options, as I correlate my colored pencils with my markers of your pre-chosen colors.

NOTE: If you add Color Splash to inked or half-inked, take $1 off!  This option is not available with subtle.

Additional Costs

Additional Character(s)

Each additional character costs 50% of the original price per character.  Up to 5 characters total; contact me about more than 5 characters, as these are often priced differently on a case by case basis.

Extra Limb(s)

If your character has more arms or legs than most, I charge 10% of the original price per set of limbs, or just 5% per singular limb if there’s an odd number.  If your character has more than a total of 6 limbs (not including a potential set of wings, which are their own category), then they fall under the “complex character design” category, therefore extra limb fees may differ.

Wings

Wings are the only type of additional limb that are priced differently.  Most wings cost only 20% the original price per set, but feathered (and otherwise particularly complex) wings explicitly cost 40% of the original price since they are particularly tricky/detailed.  Half the cost for a singluar wing if there’s an odd number.  If your character has more than a total of 4 wings, then they fall under the "complex character design" category, therefore wing fees may differ.

Complex Character Design

Fees vary between 10% and 75% depending on the complexity of the character, but usually stick in the 15% - 25% range.  Complex characters are (personally) defined by hyper-detail and/or over-abundance.  A couple examples include a gaudy Queen covered head to toe in jewelry and lace, or a half-spider half-man with eight eyes, limbs, and even some wings.  Think of it like this: if I couldn’t finish merely sketching your commission in one sitting on account of the details of your character design, I consider it a complex character.  If you’re not sure if your character is considered complex enough to warrant an additional fee, just ask me!  I'm also happily willing to offer quotes for these fees as well if you need!

Background

Single-colored, simple-patterned, or otherwise very simple backgrounds are free, but only come upon request.  I cannot do anything all that detailed, but as long as you provide me with visual references, I can do simple backgrounds for just 10% - 25% of the original cost.  Complex backgrounds cost anything between 50% to 100% of the base price, and may be outright refused if I do not think I have the necessary skillset in regards to what you are asking for.

Abstract Art

I enjoy abstract art, though it’s certainly not my primary focus, and because of this I tend to do abstract pieces in spurts, preferring to work with large canvases or on white cardboard specifically, and most often with sharpies but sometimes with india ink, paint, markers, and/or gel pens.  Because abstract work is so hard to commission, my abstract work isn’t something I offer much customization for.  I typically offer you the chance to give me very basic themes to work with, possibly some additional inspirational music or something similar, leaving everything else up to me as an artist.  Choice of materials (such as type and size of canvas and/or the medium) is usually dependent on what I have available to me.

I always do a pencil sketch first, offering you but a single chance to ask for changes then and only then.  Once I proceed to ink/color the piece, however, no further changes can be made.

Abstract pieces have prices that fluctuate between a mere $10 and a solid $300+ depending on material costs, canvas type and size, as well as how much time it’ll take me to make a piece.  I tend to work slowly and in spurts on this type of artwork, but I hope you’ll agree with me that the patience pays off for the finished product.

Artistic Liberty

An artistic liberty piece is where I take the reins and am the primary guide for the piece. In exchange for giving you a much cheaper piece, you give me the power over what you would otherwise have a lot more customization over.  Depending on how much artistic liberty I’m taking, you can get discounts between roughly 10% and 50% off!  Details and exact discounts will be discussed on a case by case basis.  I do not do full or near full Artistic Liberty Private Commissions.
