Payment Information

Last Updated: 6 - 13 - 18

Currently I only accept payment in $US dollars, and occasionally virtual currency/trades.  When taking business online, I only accept payment via PayPal.  Otherwise, the only virtual currencies I currently accept are Flight Rising treasure/gems.  Please inquire before assuming I will accept this, as well as to get my rates for $USD to virtual currency ratios, as these fluctuate.

I heavily prefer receiving full payment up front, but I do have options for those who cannot or don’t feel comfortable complying with this request.  Customers to pay in full up front are eligible for a full refund; paying partially makes my minimum required down payment non-refundable (even if the words “full refund” are stated in the applicable part of the ToS).  Whatever the method, I do not start work on your commission until at minimum I receive my required down payment.

Do not send payment without my confirmation.  I can’t emphasize this enough.  Until I make it explicitly clear that I am indeed accepting and intending to work on your commission, do not send your money; thank you.

You are always expected to pay Shipping and Handling (S&H) costs unless specified otherwise. If you want me to ship you traditional artwork, it’s recommended that rather than shipping only one traditional piece, you get multiple commissions and/or at least one crafted commission as well before asking me to ship it to save you on S&H costs, but it’s completely up to you if you want to do that or not.  If you choose to do this, I will gladly hold onto them and ship them all together. If I am holding on to your commission(s) by request for longer than 1 year, however, I am no longer responsible if it gets lost or damaged.

You are entitled to a full refund/redo/remake if the commission/product completely breaks and/or is severely damaged due to a craftsmanship error on my part, though I am always more than happy to make any and all attempts within reason to fix/replace products as an alternative to a refund.

» TRADES & CURRENCIES «

I accept US Dollars // USD // $ as my main and only currency at the moment.  If you pay me online or via any other means of [automatic] currency conversion, I am not responsible for any fees that may apply for this currency conversion.

If you are on Flight Rising (FR), I will sometimes accept the virtual currencies of treasure and gems as well as virtual item trades. My FR account is CartelSaide #34951 and you can find my FR wishlist here.  I do not accept virtual currency/trades on FR for artwork that does not relate to FR in one way, shape, or form.  At this time, this is the only virtual currency that I accept.

I am willing to accept artistic trades with people who are at and above my artistic level; it is a lot less common for me to accept art of a level lower than mine, but sometimes I will! What is considered at/above/below my skill level is at my discretion. I enjoy traditional art more than digital art in most cases, but I love and appreciate both quite a bit. By artistic, I do not just mean traditional or digital art, however. I am also interested in crafts, clothes, jewelry and other accessories, fursuit gear, and music.  Please be prepared to offer me several examples before I accept your trade request.

I will accept item trades as well. By this I mean trades for things I want/need and would be spending the money on anyway. For example, art supplies/tools, items I need around the house, gifts for friends and family, movies or games that I want, etc. While this form of trade/alt. currency is great for people with stuff they want to get rid of that I want/need, this is particularly geared towards and beneficial to those who do not have a PayPal and/or whose currency is one I don’t accept.  If you’re interested in trading and I'm open for commissions, feel free to message me and discuss!  If I'm not open for commissions, I'm not open for trades either.

Lastly, I am more than happy to accept mixtures of currency/trades, but please inquire before assuming I will accept this.

» PAYMENT PLANS «

I require a minimum of 50% of the full amount upfront before I begin work on a traditional commission.  The other 50% can be paid any time in between paying the first 50% and upon the completion of your piece.  I will not upload the full piece and you will not receive the larger, higher quality, non-watermarked version until I receive full payment.  If I communicate with you that I have completed your piece and you do not pay me or otherwise communicate about when you will pay me within 30 days*, you lose all rights to the piece and I reserve the right to alter, reuse, and/or resell the piece (this includes prints of the piece) without offering you a refund (for what you may have have paid beyond the non-refundable) if I so choose.

I require a non-refundable 40% of the full amount upfront to pay for material costs for a crafted commission.  I require the rest of the payment before shipping it to you anytime in between paying your non-refundable and upon the completion of your piece.  If I complete your piece and you do not pay me (or otherwise communicate about when you will pay me) within 30 days*, you lose all rights to the piece and I reserve the right to alter, reuse, and/or resell the piece.  If you fail to communicate with me within those 30 days at all about the financial side of things, I reserve the right to deny you a refund (for what you may have have paid beyond the non-refundable) if I so choose.

*These 30 days begin the day I send you the message stating that your commission is completed and request the remaining payment.  If we have agreed on a specific date for you to pay, you will have until that date or the default 30 days from completion - whichever gives you more time.  If you still can't pay by then, communicate with me to come to an alternative case-by-case agreement such as, but not limited to, an extension on when I should expect payment, a full refund (minus the non-refundable payment), and/or a small late fee.

I take safer and more extended payment plans for commissions $100 and over, both traditional and crafted.  However, unless otherwise agreed, payment plans of this nature have their own refund policies.  I require a non-refundable down payment of at least 30% of the total cost and you’ll be expected to pay in installments of which the amount (min of 10% of the total cost) and frequency (either weekly or biweekly) will be discussed on a case by case basis.  You will not be required to start making payments until I begin work on your commission, but you won’t receive your completed piece until it’s paid in full.  NOTE: I don’t take payment plans of $100+ if this is the total cost of multiple commissions; only if the single commission comes to this price.  Bundles are considered singular commissions.

HOW REFUNDS WORK FOR THIS TYPE OF PAYMENT PLAN:

The maximum ("full") refund that you can get is everything you paid with the exception of the non-refundable down payment.  Failure to be reliable in making your payments on time, and/or failure to communicate effectively before the last minute will have a direct impact on your eligibility for this full refund.  All communication about late payments needs to be done at minimum the day before payment is due.

(1) If you are late to pay one of your payments 2 consecutive times, and/or if you are late to pay 3 or more payments total, you no longer are eligible for a refund.  If you exceed these limits, I will likely cease business with you due to unreliability.

(2) Should you ever fail to make a payment without prior communication with and agreement from myself, you will be given a warning on the day of expected payment.  If you fail to pay within 28 days of me sending that warning message, you will no longer be eligible for a refund, and you will receive a final warning.  If you fail to pay within 48 hours of that message, our business will cease due to unreliability.

Otherwise, all regular expectations for refunds apply.

» REFUNDS AND REPAIRS Â«

You are entitled to a full refund/redo/remake if the commission/product breaks and/or is severely damaged due to a craftsmanship error on my part, though I am always more than happy to make any and all attempts within reason to fix/replace products as an alternative to a refund.  If the product is damaged due to outside factors, I am still willing to do what I can to salvage it.  In these cases, depending on how damaged the product is and whether or not the damage is covered by warranty, I may require that you pay shipping (to me, and I pay back to you) or if the product is in a particularly sore state, I may ask for a small fee to compensate for my time and the supplies I need to fix said damaged product.  This fee will never exceed more than the base material costs at maximum, so long as the product is reasonably repairable.  Remakes of damaged-beyond-repair products will come with a large discount.

If I take on a commission and I have to drop it after you’ve paid because of issues on my end, I will happily give you a full refund.  If the piece is partially completed, I will offer the option of a partial refund equivalent to the amount of work yet to be done (unless I feel a full refund is more appropriate) if you wish to retain personal rights/ownership over the work that has already been completed, or a full refund if you are ok giving me the full rights to it.
